External API

External API refers to any external interface that Kafka Streams interacts with, such as REST APIs, used for communicating with systems outside the Kafka ecosystem.

External System

External System refers to any system outside Kafka Streams, such as other services, that integrates with Kafka for data ingestion, enrichment, or processing.

External DB

External DB can be used for highlighting integration or interaction with an external DB. This can e.g. be used to indicate Kafka Connect or other CDC data flows.
